Mental health in Australia has been costing half-a-billion dollars per day. Government needs to fund it so that the cost can be bearable.

There are mental health measures which are being planned for a healthy mental life. They want unified mental health system that was easy to understand and access. Study states one-in-five Australians experience mental ill-health with this putting an estimated $180 billion per year hole in the economy.

The commission says it predictably approximations mental health and suicide cost the economy $43 billion to $51 billion per year in lost productivity and health system costs.

There are reform areas which included improving preventative and early intervention measures for mental health and suicide.

The government is working together to close critical gaps in mental healthcare, with more beds in mental health wards and support for people 24/7 if needed.

There should be a follow-up after attempted suicide is proven to save lives and could be started immediately.
