The chairman of London-listed player i3 Energy, David Knox is stepping down from his role to purse renewables in Australia. Knox held roles with Australian operator Santos and UK took on a job role as chair of Australia’s largest renewable energy provider Snowy Hydro. He is stepping down after three years to ensure he has a focus on his new job as the chairman of i3 energy understanding the critical time in Australia.
i3 Energy’s non-executive director Linda Beal will be taking as interim chairperson as the company will conduct a formal search to replace Knox. The team of the company extends their gratitude towards David for the stewardship and leadership he has shown and getting it listed onto AIM in 2017. Knox stated in his departing speech that he is pleased with the accomplishments during his time at i3 and is confident that it will remain in capable hands. i3 Energy has established itself as bold, innovative and working hard to extract value from its oil and gas licenses.
Serenity and Liberator are the two assets that i3 holds in the UK North Sea, where the company contracted Fugro for its planned 2020 drilling programme.
