The members of the Australian Hellenic Medical Charity Inc. which is founded in 2015 with the motive of raising funds that will provide essential support to the hospitals in Greece. The feather to its cap last Christmas when Dr Andrew Zisos and one more member from AHMCI Connie Loutas delivered the essential medical equipment required by the hospital to treat the patients to the Thriasio Hospital.

The members were happy to help and give back to their country in away. The two members delivered the equipment to the hospital that included the early detection of Cancer machine which was requested by the hospital and five containers of dermatomes blades for Zimmer dermatomes and two dermatoscopes for the Department of Plastic Surgery.

This was accomplished after years of hard work in fundraising events and announces the accomplishment of this project. Mr Barkoukis decided to take the challenge when he visited to Greece and had the first-hand experience of lack of medical pieces of equipment needed to treat the patients and outdated technology with the short supply that resulted in significant health risks.

AHCMI provided the pieces of equipment on lease for fifteen years so that the equipment would not be sold and could become the hospitals’ property after completion of its lease.
