Number of Australians with basic hospital cover falls to lowest level in over a decade, report reveals

In Australia, the private health system is considered to be expensive as the cost of premiums is highly rising than the wages at the disposal. It’s a hardcover which is making the population switch to a public health system which indirectly is putting a lot of pressure on the public health system to cope up with.

The percentage of people dropping their health premiums is increasingly rising amounting to a 30,000 number in three months of period. The reports reveal that the health care premiums rose almost 2.8% over the June quarter which is increasing inflation and wage growth.

The President of Australian Medical Association Dr Tory Bartone stated that it’s highly concerning. And the issue needs to be addressed in time to cope up with the rising pressure on the public health system. As the current system has been figured out with a lot of issues that if people are paying their health premiums for years and when they go to hospitals are amazed at the surprise bills that it costs and which doesn’t help the health insurance companies. Improvement has already started in Australia to cater to the issue.
